Erin Andrew from the Research School of Biology (RSB) has won the 2017 ANU 3MT (3 Minute Thesis) competition, with her presentation 'Cancer Immunotherapy: fighting back against cancer'.  She will head to the University of Queensland later this month to represent ANU at the Asia Pacific finals.

Erin also won the People's Choice Award at the competition, held in Llewellyn Hall, on Wednesday 6 September, and her supervisor, Dr Aude Fahrer, won the Supervisor's award.

Erin's talk was sensational, said Associate Professor Spencer Whitney, in what was described by Professor Adrienne Nicotra as a very strong field.

The other RSB contestant, Christiana McDonald-Spicer, also gave an outstanding talk, said Spencer. "All bias aside, I would have awarded her 2nd place."
