PROJECT SPOTLIGHT

New methods in phylogenetics

Phylogenies form the backbone of our understanding of evolutionary biology. Our group works a lot on developing new methods to improve how phylogenies are estimated. We have a number of potential projects including:

1. Detecting and filtering bad data

2. Selecting models of molecular evolution

4. New ways of visualising phylogenies

This project is open to Honours, Bachelor and PhD students
