Foster the future of biological research at the ANU.
RSB is a national leader in research across Plant Sciences, Evolutionary Biology and Disease Biology with applications ranging from food security, conservation of species and ecosystems and drug design. Our success in solving these challenges and advancing biological understanding depends on continuous innovation. High-quality, research-led teaching also thrives on this spirit of discovery, driven by creative faculty and interdisciplinary collaboration.
This impact is driven by a culture of innovation—thriving on collaboration, curiosity, and bold ideas. Many of our greatest breakthroughs have emerged from interdisciplinary collaboration, enabled by seed funding that allows researchers to test pioneering concepts. Investing in early-stage research fuels discoveries that shape the future.
The Biology Future fund is dedicated to fostering the next wave of research and educational excellence by supporting:
- Seed funding for collaborative research, empowering researchers to explore bold new ideas.
- Innovation in teaching, ensuring our students receive a world-class, research-led education.
- Diversity and inclusion initiatives, strengthening our commitment to equity in science.
