Unusual portraits of RSB members Marilyn Ball and Jack Egerton are part of an exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery, entitled 'So Fine: Contemporary women artists make Australian History'. Marilyn and Jack met Sydney sculptor Linde Ivimey while returning from the 2011-2012 field season in Antarctica, aboard the cruise ship Orion, that transported them back to Tasmania. Marilyn is portrayed as an albatross, and Jack is represented as a leopard seal, and the sculptures and inclusion in the exhibition came as a complete suprise.

The portraits of Marilyn and Jack are part of a group of six sculptures made of bones, skins, furs, fabrics and other natural materials.  'So Fine' is open to the public at the National Portrait Gallery from 29 June 2018.
