RegisterDescription

Experimental design is a key step in scientific research in the life sciences. This workshop first introduces some basic concepts and principles of experimental design (replication, randomization, blocking and power) and then considers a range of case studies. Drawing on experience from statistical consulting in the agricultural sciences and biology, the focus will be on non-standard, somewhat more complex design problems that are not usually covered in textbooks.
