Barry Jonassen Award

The Barry Jonasse Award was established in 1999 and is named in memory of Barry Jonassen,a keen freshwater angler, biologist and passionate supporter of ASFB. It is awarded to support research costs incurred by an honours or post-graduate student in the field of freshwater fish biology or freshwater fisheries ("fish" includes commercially important invertebrates). The value of the award will be at the discretion of the Society president and committee, up to a total of $2,000.
