Sediment-macroalgae community dynamics on tropical reefs

Sediment can be a key force in the evolution and ecology of marine ecosystems. Emerging evidence suggests that sediment dynamics may be particularly important for the productivity of macroalgae on tropical reefs. This study seeks to establish relationships between benthic sediment deposits and the form and function of macroalgal reef communities, using Ningaloo as a model system.
