The project involves the development of new methods to understand epigenetic regulatory mechanisms.
The molecular methods for the study of epigenomic are moving extremely fast, so much so that the methods for the analysis of such data are lagging behind the production of data. In this project, involves the development of new computational and statistical methods. This project also has a strong biological component as many questions about epigenetic regulation remain unanswered because of the lack of tool to address these questions.
The student would also have the opportunity to undertake wet-lab work in collaboration with some of our ANU colleagues.
