The Centre for Biodiversity Analysis
Biodiversity is not static - it is constantly changing. The current patterns of biodiversity we observe today, and work to protect, reflect evolutionary processes, past environmental change and future adaptation potential.
The Centre for Biodiversity Analysis (CBA) is a collaborative initiative of the ANU, CSIRO and University of Canberra that connects scientists and their research to exploit new and emerging technologies in the discovery, understanding and conservation of Australia’s unique biodiversity in the face of accelerating environmental change.
The Centre for Biodiversity Analysis acknowledges, celebrates and pays our respects to the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people of the Canberra region and to all First Nations Australians on whose traditional lands we meet and work, and whose cultures are among the oldest continuing cultures in human history. We recognise the deep knowledge of Australia’s flora, fauna and ecosystems held by Australia’s First Peoples and celebrate their enduring connections to Country, knowledge, and stories.
