Weliton Menário Costa

Licentiate (03/2010-01/2016) and Bachelor (02/2016-12/2016) Degrees in Biological Sciences, at the Federal Institute of Espirito Santo, Alegre Campus, Brazil (with honours). During my undergraduate degree, I received a Brazilian government Science without Borders schorlarship to undertake an Intensive English Language Course and a 80-CP Study Abroad and Exchange Program at Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia (08/2013-12/2014). In 2016, I was awarded an ANU PhD Scholarship (International), starting my studies early 2017 in the Division of Ecology & Evolution, RSB. My PhD project is carried out under the supervision of Prof Loeske Kruuk (ANU) and co-supervisior of Prof Marco Festa-Bianchet (Univeristy of Sherbrooke).

Research interests

I aim to contribute to the fields of Evolutionary and Behavioural Ecology through my research. In my PhD project, I am investigating the fitness consequences and heritability of personality and behavioural traits in eastern grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus).
