Fellowship from Replacing Animals in Medical Research Fund (RAMR)

2019

Jade Venitti (Broer group) has received a fellowship of $10,000 from the Replacing Animals in Medical Research Fund (RAMR) to improve a computational model of amino acid homeostasis in cancer cells. Jade developed the first version of the model during her honours year. The model attempts to simulate amino acid transport in cancer cells to replace animal experiments and define new targets for cancer therapy.
