Evolution in a changing environment (ARC Future Fellowship)

Superb fairy wren

An investigation into the effects of climate change on wild animal populations.

Climate change is having a dramatic effect on wild animal populations. This project will investigate the impact of a changing environment on microevolutionary processes, the expression of genetic variance and the processes of natural and sexual selection.

The research uses data from the long-term study of superb fairy wrens run by Andrew Cockburn, and is funded by an ARC Future Fellowship to Loeske Kruuk.
