Graham Farquhar from the Division of Plant Sciences at the Research School of Biology, has been elected as a Foreign Associate to the US National Academy of Science. Graham is one of 437 foreign associates of the US NAS, elected along with 20 other prominent scientists on 30 April. This very high honour recognises Graham's many profound contributions to the field of plant sciences.

Graham was also honoured with an Einstein Fellowship by the Chinese Academy of Science earlier this year, and with an honorary doctorate by Wageningen University, in the Netherlands.
