Coursework Masters
The Research School of Biology prides itself on the high quality of its teachers and the support that staff members give to students. The majority of lecturers manage research groups working on the leading edge of their disciplines and they bring that experience into their courses.
The Masters programs are designed for domestic or international students who wish to update their skills in the biosciences or gain a post-graduate qualification at an Australian University. Study programs are individually designed to complement prior undergraduate study and develop advanced knowledge and skills.

Some of the benefits associated with undertaking the Master's pathway include the prestige of holding an internationally recognized qualification from one of Australia's leading Universities. During the one year degree students have many opportunities to network and get to know and impress potential supervisors with the quality of their work and their enthusiasm for research. On completion of a Master degree that includes 48 units of research, students with a high level of achievement (H1) are very competitively positioned to apply for one of the few available competitive IPRS scholarships which will allow them to pursue PhD study and a career in research.
