The ANU Research School of Biology offers a variety of outreach activities to high school students. We encourage you to come onto campus and try one of our practical laboratory classes, which cover topics such as genetics, parasitology, exercise physiology and stick insect ecology.

Some of these visits, such as ‘Parasite detective’ and ‘Whodunnit?’ present students with a puzzle that they need to solve using scientific techniques. We can also arrange for tours of our labs and buildings.

Our academics can also present at schools, online or on-campus on a number of topics, including plant and animal ecology, parasitology, drug-resistant and infectious diseases, evolution, biotechnology, genetics, and photosynthesis.

Presentations can be tailored to suit the current curriculum and meet the requirements of science teachers. Below is a list of the current school visits. Click through for more information, and to book a session.
