Honours

This site is intended to give you basic information about the Honours year in the Research School of Biology. Students may be located in any of the areas comprising RSB (Biochemistry and Molecular Biology/Building 41, Botany and Zoology/Buildings 116 & 44, or Building 46) as well as the John Curtin School of Medical Research, CSIRO, and the Canberra Hosptial. We accept students enrolled in (but not limited to) BSc, BMedSci, and Bachelor of Biotechnology.

Students can enrol in one of three programs, each of which has a slightly different focus. They are:

Two intakes of students are accepted each year, in February and July.

The Honours year is very different from your earlier years at University. As an Honours student you work mostly on your own (with assistance and encouragement from your supervisor and examiners' committee), at your own speed, and you make your own decisions on how your work and research should proceed.
