Applicants for all scholarships should be completing, or have recently completed, the third year of a relevant Bachelors degree course with majors in the appropriate science areas (if applicable), and have a strong record of academic achievement. Students must satisfy the requirements of the Colleges of Science for admission to the Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree course. Scholarships are valued at $5000 to $7500 and may also include a travel or relocation allowance. Honours ScholarshipsPlease note only one honours scholarship may be held at one time. The stipend will be $6,000 plus up to $4,000 relocation allowance for students relocating from other states. Students are encouraged to discuss research opportunities with the relevant Chief Investigator at the Centre. Details of research projects and contact information of Chief Investigators in the Centre can be found on the Centre website. Requirements: The applicant must be enrolled in an honours program at ANU, must be supervised by one of a Centre’s Chief Investigators, and must be working on a Centre related research project. Requirements: Application Process: ISIS Honours Scholarships in Sustainable Urban EnvironmentsValue: $9,000Apply By: 30/11/ The Fenner School of Environment and Society, with The ANU Endowment for Excellence. ISIS (ISIS Group Australia Pty Ltd: isis.com.au) is sponsoring up to three Honours scholarships per year on a competitive basis, known as the ISIS Honours Scholarship in Sustainable Urban Environments. The scholarships are available to enable young researchers and practitioners to undertake quality research in areas pertaining to the sustainable management of urban areas, across a range of issues including (but not limited to) water, energy, buildings, planning biodiversity, waste management and environmental health. The Scholarship shall be awarded by the Director of the Fenner School of Environment and Society in discussion with the School Executive, on the advice of the Associate Director (Education) and Honours Convenor. Honours noticeboardNext round of Honours applications closes: 24th June, for the July intake, The Statistical Consulting Unit is offering a two day Introductory Stats course to EEG Honours students May 4th and 5th 2011, 9:00 am-5:00 pm in the Peter Baume Seminar Room. Although the course is primarily designed for Honours students, any 'new' student, MSc or PhD, planning to make use the Statistical Consulting Unit for help in the design of their experiments and analysis of their data would be well advised to attend this course. There is no fee for this course and no registration is required. Links
